        - Places to stay:

A neighbor of ours has a very vintage cabin on Boyd Pond just down the hill from our school.
Prices are absolutely reasonable, though guests are asked to bring their own linens and are responsible to clean before they leave. No TV or internet, but there's a fabulous screened porch and a full kitchen and bath.
Please send us an email if you're interested in this option.

We suggest looking for accommodation in or around Bristol online - there are lots of B&Bs nearby.
This part of Maine is an established vacation destination and we are lucky to have such excellent resources close to our school.

There are several camp grounds close by;
Sherwood Forest Campground and Pemaquid Point Campground are both within 5 or 8 miles of us.
The Chamberlain House is a B&B in Round Pond.
Thompson Cottages has lovely places to stay in Back Cove, New Harbor.
           - Getting here:

Our closest airport is the Portland International Jetport, about 1.25 hours or 60 miles south.

Excellent train and bus service are available from Boston (and New York.)
Amtrak has service to Brunswick, which is 50 minutes/35 miles south of us.

Concord Coach Lines is a great bus service, it comes through twice a day in the summer.

(If you’re lucky you may get the bus driver who occasionally sings a song to the passengers.)

Our closest "big town" is Damariscotta/New Castle, about a 15 minute drive from us.
It has restaurants, several grocery stores, hardware and other stores.

The school's street address is 275 Old County Road, Bristol, ME 04539.

Below is a list of the towns closest to us on the peninsula, all are quite small and within about 7 miles of us.
They generally have a post office but not much more.
